Mother's Wardrobe Finds

Last weekend my mum showed me a few things in her wardrobe and let me keep some things, some are vintage and some are not. However, I like them all.

So this is a black clutch bag my mother gave me. It is vintage and I think it was my Nanny's when she was younger. It has a black ribbon outlining it and opens up at the front a bit like a book. I think it is really nice, basic and would work well on an evening out.

The second bag my mother gave to me is this, it is also vintage. It is fairly similar to the last one but is more of a square shape and has sequinned embroidery on the front. Clo has one similar to this as well.

Lastly, are these pair of shoes. They may not be everyone's cup of tea but personally i like them. They have not been given to me as my mum still wears them and they really suit her. I love the shape, colour and material. The pointed toe, heel and zip down the side give an elegant feel to the boots. The colour is so gorgeous and lovely for S/S13 too.

My Rimmel London Scandleyes quad

Hi, just a little apology because we haven't been blogging very much recently. We have been busy with school, the snow and filming videos for our up and coming YouTube channel:).

Today I thought I would show you something that I quite recently purchased for a mere £6.99. It's in the shade 'sun safari' it's a neutral palette which I find has been going great. It's not my most pigmented eye shadow but its perfect for blending the four colours together.

To apply it I first cover my whole eyelid in the bronzed shade on the left. Then I blend the darker bronze shade into the crease of my eyelid. Next I use the bottom shade as a highlighter for my brow bone and finally the highest, brown shade for the outer corners of my eyes to add definition.

Casual comfy wear:)

Hi:)

I feel like you've seen some of our more fashionable stuff but I thought it would be good to show you the kind of things I wear on those comfy days. This is my friend Megan so all credit to her for being my beautiful model:).

She's wearing a cute mint green polka dot blouse, from Primark, £12. A cute Grey cable knit cardigan, this was a gift to her and neither of us are quite sure where it came from. She's chucked on a pair of black leggings from Primark again and she's wearing little ankle military boots from New Look.

Just another thanks to Megan:).

Something New

A few weekends ago I went shopping with Clo to enjoy the January sales and I picked up this gorgeous playsuit- I was instantly attracted to the sequins! I thought it might not look good on me but I thought I would give it a go in the changing rooms, and I ended up really liking it!

It is quite a structured playsuit but it flares out slightly at the shorts. The top half has a v-neck line leading off into a gold zip and ending halfway down the shorts. The v-neckline is quite flattering as it draws the attention to my upper half instead of my stomach (which most playsuits don't do!) I absolutely love the sequins and beads on the upper half as they dress the playsuit up in a fun way.
I know it is quite A/W but it would also work for S/S because of the colour popping.

The playsuit would look really good with a plain black blazer- to make it quite fresh and clean cut, a bit like French style.

I bought this for £28 pounds from Miss Selfridge, which is quite a good price.

My Revlon lip butter

Hi;)

Only a few days I ago I purchased a Revlon lip butter. Even if you just glance at YouTube you'll see loads of beauty vloggers talking about how great they are. So I thought I'd see for myself.

I picked up the shade sugar frosting and it's a really pale sugary pink and I haven't stopped wearing it since. It's really moisturising and glides on nicely. It's perfect for this cold weather to keep your lips moisturised.

The only downside if there's any is that it's not the most pigmented lip product I own so if your looking for pigmentation this isn't what I would recommend.

Knitwear

One of my favourite things to wear in A/W12 was knitwear. Knitwear can be worn all year around but I find it can be worn in many more ways in Autumn and Winter, as well as helping when its cold!

Above I am wearing: Red Boxy Jumper- New Look- £10
                                  Full Length Dungarees-Topshop-£55
                                  Watch-Vivienne Westwood-£85
Wooden Cross Necklace- Given to me
Rimmel London Nail Polish in Pear Drop

Although this is quite an A/W12 outfit is will also work for S/S13 as bright red is going to be in and the dungarees give it that little quirky twist. I decided to unbutton one of the straps on the dungarees to give it a more laid-back, slouched look.
There will be more posts coming up like this, to round up all of our favourite Autumn and Winter trends!

HOH make up set

Hi:)

I recently went into boots to check out the sale and as soon as I saw this I knew I needed it. As you have probably noticed its HOH and you will also know from previous posts about my minor obsession with HOH at the moment. I will admit that I ended up buying two, one for me and one for Flo.

The thing that drew me to this set more than the others is the slogan on the make up bag- 'I look like a hag without the things in this bag,' I found the quite amusing and typical HOH.

The next thing I like about it is that the mascara and liquid eyeliner have little slogans on- 'my lashes demand camera flashes' and 'nothing finer than a liquid liner'. Again these are very HOH and even though these aren't the best things I've ever owned they are surprisingly good and where they lack on product they make up for in packaging.

The last two bits are the tweezers and mirror. These are just the cutest things in the whole set. The mirror also has a slogan 'don't hate me cos' I'm beautiful' I love this touch. So finally the tweezers these are the sweetest things with little black and white polka dots covering them.

Lots of love

Lydia Bright and LFWend

Hi:)

As you may already know Flo and I went to Vodafone London fashion weekend in September. They are also doing a spring/summer one if you might be interested.

When we were there we met a few celebrities, one of them being Lydia Bright. She looked stunning in a navy skater skirt, white cut out blouse and gorgeous heels. She looked quirky, kitsch and with a hint of vintage.

She was so kind to us and let us have a photo and made polite small talk. She then had a big interview on stage about her new clothing line, coming soon, and gave an inspirational speech about following your dreams.

Lots of love,

Raising Money for Jane Bowler

Hello, so Clo and I have just started school again so we are still trying to find time to blog, bare with us!

Anyways, we saw Jane Bowler post on twitter that she was raising eight hundred pounds to fund her London Fashion Week show, so we decided we would try to help.
Clo and I decided to do a 2 kilometre run around our local lake and do the courses and trails along the way. This might not sound like a big deal, but we don't exercise a lot and are not very good at sports so this is a big deal to us! Anyone that donates money gets entered into a competition to win a goody bag with items that we have selected ourselves.
Jane Bowler makes amazing pieces as you can see in the clip below so please help her fund her show. We will video the run we do so you can see us truly suffer for this;)! But however big or small your donation is, we will still be grateful for it as it will make a difference.
Please contact us at flocloco@gmail.com if you have any queries.

What I wore today

Hello:')
So I tried to post this the other day but it seemed to delete itself so hello again.

Here I am wearing my new Topshop dress that I bought the other day whilst shopping with Clo. It was £26 pounds which is not too bad as I will wear it loads. It is a skater dress shape but quite loose fitting which gives it a relaxed feel. I love casual dresses and I didn't really have any so it was a really good buy. The material is really nice- I love the speckled effect. The colour also gives it a bit of a grunge feel.

The shoes are also from Topshop (bit of an obsession at the mo). They give the outfit a bit of a colour pop along with the lips. I really love the colour and they will be good for s/s13 as magenta is supposed to be a big colour. The shoes are velvet and have embellishments that form a cross- this matches my necklace (it is not a fashion statement, I am religious).

For some reason I didn't feel like accessorising this outfit. I wanted it to be simple. Although you can't see them in this picture I was wearing a gold spike earring and a gold cuff chain, both from Primark.

HOH SS13

Hi everyone,

As you all know I have an extreme obsession with Henry Holland and his amazing designs. This is my favourite outfits from his collection.

I love the tie dye multi colours and stand out style of the outfit. Lets start at the top.

I love round sunglasses and they work amazingly with this outfit. The shirt is a sort of military fit but the tie dye of blue, green, red and yellow changes it all up and paired with that amazing skirt makes it such a winning outfit. Paired with the military style boots gives the outfit an edge.

My New Handbag

Hi guys, happy New Year!
So I got a new handbag today and thought I would tell you about it. It is from River Island and the original price was about £40 but I got it off the sale for £20. I know it's quite 'wintery' and s/s13 things are coming out now, but I can wear it for the rest of this month and maybe next winter.

It has a baroque pattern with a bit of vintage floral against a black background. It is a barrel shape with gold handles and one long leather strap. Along the top of the bag there is some snake print panelling in black and burgundy.

Also, there won't be a post tomorrow as Clo and I will be busy doing a vlog and shooting.

Tatty Devine Necklace

Hi:)
Today I have decided to tell you about my Tatty Devine necklace. I purchased it about a month ago at clothes show live.

As you can see from the picture, it's the shape of a party ring biscuit. Party rings have been my favourite biscuits for since I can remember. So that what spurred me to buy it.

It is made by Tatty Devine, I was suprised to see this in their collection because most of their jewellery items are brightly coloured, acrylic plastic pendants. This is what they are known for.

The pendant of this is wooden as painted for the party ring detailing. It has an antique gold coloured chain and brand attachment. I think it would add a quirky kitsch twist to any outfit.

If you would like to check out tatty Devine, which I thoroughly recommend here is te link: www.tattydevine.com

Happy new year everyone,

Love Clo xo
